An established engineering and technology consultancy is looking for multiple Cyber Security Consultants to support the delivery of complex and high-profile programmes across defence, critical national infrastructure and operational technology environments.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects that directly support national capability and resilience.

The Role:

  • Deliver cyber security consultancy services, risk assessments and security assurance activities across Defence, CNI and OT environments.
  • Develop security governance documentation, policies and controls aligned to client and regulatory requirements, such as ISO27001 and ICE 62443.
  • Support and advise stakeholders on technical cyber security challenges and secure by design approaches.
  • At the senior/principal level, contribute to project delivery, business development and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Cyber security professionals with experience across defence, aerospace and/or national infrastructure environments with an understanding of operational technologies.
  • Background in conducting and managing security assurance and accreditation activities, relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CISMP, CCSP, ISO27001 or GICSP or similar.
  • Experience in segmenting and securing industrial OT/ICS networks; familiarity with OT cyber security standards or frameworks, e.g. IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIS Regulations, HSE OG-0086.
  • Relevant OT cyber security qualifications (e.g., GICSP, IEC/ISA 62443) and membership of recognised security professional bodies (e.g., IISP, IS2, BCS, CIISEC) would be desirable.
  • Background in ISMS development, security governance and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to meet client requirements and explain complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ideally, security cleared (SC or higher), as you will need full SC to be able to start in the role.
  • Due to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to British Citizens who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.
