What you will need
- Must hold the right to work in the UK
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) or equivalent, with Chartership (CEnv or CEcol) or ability to achieve
- Strong botanical skills and experience in protected species survey, mitigation and licensing
- Experience delivering ecological assessments and habitat design, including UKHab surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessment, Ecological Impact Assessment, Habitats Regulations Assessment and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
- Experience managing ecology deliverables from bidding to completion
Your role
- Undertake ecological assessment and habitat design for development and nature recovery projects
- Develop innovative ecological mitigation and compensation approaches
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders
- Deliver high-quality ecological reports in line with current guidance and good practice
- Lead ecology tasks and projects, including mentoring and line management
Your experience
- Technical capability: strong botanical skills, protected species survey and licensing, ecological assessment expertise
- Behavioural capability: ability to work collaboratively, manage projects and maintain client relationships
- Task and project management experience
- Report writing and quality assurance skills
- Experience with bidding and client engagement
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
