Join a specialist engineering team developing advanced algorithm technology for sophisticated weapon systems. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative defence programmes focused on mathematical modelling, simulation and next-generation capability development. You will support the design, development and testing of advanced algorithms using technologies including machine learning and artificial intelligence. The role offers exposure to complex engineering challenges within a collaborative and technically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and test mathematical algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink and Python
  • Support modelling and simulation activities across advanced weapon systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support algorithm implementation and integration
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within algorithm development
Requirements
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a numerate discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Hands‑on experience with MATLAB and Python
  • Experience with mathematical analysis and modelling, Simulink desirable
  • Understanding of numerical simulation techniques
  • Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts
  • Understanding of geospatial data and/or geographical information systems
  • Confidence working with complex mathematical data and technical problem-solving
