A UK-based engineering and infrastructure solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across maritime and defence programmes.
This role focuses on developing and securing opportunities within the Royal Navy and wider maritime environment, working on deployable and modular infrastructure solutions supporting operational capability.
You’ll operate at the front end of complex defence programmes—identifying opportunities, shaping early engagement, and leading structured business development activity through to capture readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a strong understanding of maritime defence priorities, capability gaps, and procurement cycles
- Engage with senior MOD, Royal Navy, and industry stakeholders to position solutions early
- Identify, qualify, and progress complex opportunities aligned to technical capability
- Shape capture strategies, win themes, and partnership approaches
- Build and maintain a robust, accurate new business pipeline
- Support bidding activity on high-value infrastructure and capability programmes
- Experience in business development, capture, or programme roles within defence, maritime, engineering, or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of MOD structures and procurement processes
