A leading organisation operating within the defence sector is looking for a Supply Chain Senior Specialist to support complex programme delivery across mission-critical environments.

Role Overview

You will act as a senior point of expertise within the supply chain team, supporting sourcing decisions, supplier engagement and commercial governance. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic improvement activity whilst ensuring operational excellence across procurement and supplier management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing activity across programmes, including supplier selection, tendering and negotiation of subcontract agreements.
  • Manage and develop supplier relationships, ensuring performance, cost, quality and delivery targets are met.
  • Oversee supplier governance activity, for example, reporting on key metrics such as OTIF, risk and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across supply chain processes and contribute to wider team development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting supply chain activity within complex programme environments.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline (CIPS desirable).
  • Strong background in subcontract negotiation with an understanding of contract law.
