Salary: Up to £46,000 depending on experience

Join an expanding, highly specialised simulation team as a Simulation Systems Engineer to contribute to complex Hardware-in-the-Loop testing activities. You will support the maintenance and optimisation of sophisticated simulation systems used to test and validate advanced defence technologies. This role offers excellent exposure to real-time simulation environments, hydraulic systems and multi-axis motion platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation and control systems
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on hydraulic motion simulators and associated equipment
  • Diagnose faults and implement engineering solutions across mechanical, electrical and control systems
  • Support testing activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Ideally degree-educated in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics, Aeronautical Engineering or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems
  • Hands-on CAD experience, CREO desirable
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Practical workshop experience using hand-held and electrical tools
  • Understanding of control systems theory
