You will define the electronic and electrical architecture, conduct analysis and decomposition to lower-level requirements for sub-elements, and ensure compliance with stringent customer requirements for equipment to function in limited physical space and harsh operating environments.

About the Role:

  • Actively participate in research and development activities, shaping future strategies and roadmaps for various safety critical electronic products and solutions.
  • Manage all technical elements of Electronic Equipment's to ensure impeccable 'On Time, On Cost, On Quality' delivery of the technical solution.
  • Frequently engage with both stakeholders and customers.

About You:

  • Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) with an electronics bias.
  • Significant experience in the following areas:
  • Digital electronics and microprocessor systems
  • Power electronics for distributed power networks
  • Design of equipment for safety critical environments
  • Design of equipment for handling sensitive customer data
  • Understanding of software and firmware development techniques
  • Compact packaging and thermal management techniques for complex high-performance electronic equipment
  • Strong influencing skills, leadership qualities, and a comprehensive understanding of customers' requirements.
  • Knowledge of internal computing design covering System on Chip technologies, RF, Signal Processing, and Software Defined Radio OR EMC/environmental design would be beneficial.
  • Key Information:

    • Salary: Circa £70,000 Plus Bonus and Benefits
    • Location: Stevenage – Primarily On-Site Working
    • Eligibility: Must Hold British Citizenship Due to Security Requirements

    Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
