Experience in UKHab surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessment, Ecological Impact Assessment, Habitats Regulations Assessment, and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.

Strong bat or ornithological skills.

Full UK driving licence.

What you will work on:

  • Lead ecological assessments and habitat design for nature recovery and development projects.
  • Develop innovative ecological mitigation and compensation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders and clients.
  • Deliver high-quality ecological reports in line with current guidance and best practice.
  • Take ownership of projects, manage tasks, and mentor junior staff.

Your experience:

  • Background in ecological assessments, mitigation, and habitat design.
  • Expertise in protected species surveys, mitigation, and licensing.
  • Solid understanding of bidding, client relationships, and delivering projects from start to finish.
  • Membership of CIEEM or equivalent, with the ability to achieve Chartership (CEnv or CEcol).

Where you will be based: Ideal base location: Birmingham. However, the role can be based anywhere in the UK with a hybrid working arrangement. This is a permanent role.
