A rapidly growing technology business is developing assurance and safety capabilities for next generation autonomous systems and is expanding its specialist engineering team. Working across embedded software, autonomy, aerospace and safety critical engineering, the organisation is developing technology designed to provide confidence in autonomous systems operating within highly regulated environments.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, verification and certification of embedded safety critical systems supporting autonomous platforms. You will work across:

  • Safety critical embedded software development
  • Runtime assurance and safety monitoring
  • Autonomous flight and mission systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop safety critical embedded software
  • Develop software supporting runtime assurance and autonomous system safety
  • Contribute to software architecture, integration, verification and certification activities

What We're Looking For

  • Strong embedded software engineering background with experience in C, C++, Ada or similar languages
  • Experience working within safety critical environments with real time or embedded systems
  • Understanding of high integrity software development, verification and validation

Desirable Experience

  • Ada or SPARK Ada and DO 178C experience
  • Aerospace, defence, autonomous systems, flight control or avionics software experience
  • UAV, UAS, drone, eVTOL, ROS, ROS2, MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, model based development or formal methods
