Location and setup: Hybrid working in Hertfordshire, with regular on-site attendance required due to the nature of the work.
What you will be doing:
- Support the introduction of new test systems and facilities from development through to production readiness.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic test issues at system, sub-assembly and circuit card level.
- Develop test specifications, operator instructions and supporting technical documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and operational teams to overcome technical challenges.
- Contribute to production readiness activities and ensure appropriate configuration control is maintained.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
Skills and background:
- HNC, HND, degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in electronics manufacture, test and fault finding.
- Strong understanding of electrical, electronic and RF measurement principles.
- Experience supporting product development lifecycles within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to prioritise multiple technical activities and deliver against project objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing technical reports and instructions.
Essential requirements:
- Able to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
- Strong background in electronic test engineering covering digital, analogue and RF technologies.
- Experience supporting products through development and manufacturing environments.
- Proven capability with manual and automated test systems.
- Able to produce technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
Salary and rewards:
Circa £52,000 depending on experience, with added benefits, including:
