Join a well-established engineering and construction organisation as an HSE Manager, taking ownership of health, safety and environmental compliance across a diverse range of operational environments.
You will support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), provide expert HSE guidance across the business, and help foster a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and ISO 45001/14001 standards
- Conduct risk assessments, develop RAMS and support safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions and support RIDDOR reporting
- Deliver audits, training, inductions and HSE awareness initiatives
- Support emergency preparedness, contractor management and compliance activities
- Produce HSE reports and maintain IMS documentation
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Auditing experience within ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 environments
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction or similar technical sectors
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk management and compliance
- Excellent reporting, organisational and communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline
- NEBOSH Fire and/or Environmental Management qualifications
- Manufacturing, assembly or inspection environment experience
