  • Act as a technical authority for the design, build, and commissioning of internal and customer networks.
  • Maintain the integrity of network security through proactive management of firewalls and encryption protocols.
  • Resolve complex routing and acceleration issues within long-latency network environments.
  • Support the full lifecycle of bespoke products by producing detailed technical documentation and schematics.

Skills and background

  • Advanced knowledge of Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
  • Strong proficiency with Cisco Routers and Switches using IOS-XE.
  • Practical experience with BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and network monitoring tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot VoIP QoS and compression processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
