Location: On-site, Portland, Dorset. Salary: £40k to £45k per annum. We are supporting a major defence sector client to appoint a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide financial management and reporting support across a long-term contract, ensuring project milestones and financial performance are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Finance Controller and working closely with the Project Manager and wider programme team, the role involves managing cash flow, preparing statutory and management information reports, forecasting, budgeting and ensuring compliance with IFRS15 revenue recognition standards.
- Implementing and maintaining financial controls and disciplines.
- Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborating with project and finance teams to manage cash flow and financial risk.
- Translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
- Championing financial compliance and embedding best practice.
Essential criteria
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Minimum three years' accounting experience, ideally within engineering or manufacturing.
- Proven business partnering experience supporting long-term projects.
- Knowledge of IFRS15 and project accounting principles.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to work on-site.
Contract
This is a permanent role.
