If you’re an experienced Procurement professional with a background in subcontract management and a passion for complex commercial challenges, this role offers significant impact and career progression.
The Role: Drive Strategic Defence Procurement
As Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of procurement specialists, managing critical supplier relationships and overseeing diverse work packages including Rocket Motors, Launchers, Warheads, and Seeker Systems. Your expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance will be vital in ensuring optimal Value for Money (VfM) and seamless delivery of highly sophisticated equipment. This position empowers you to craft and execute procurement strategies, provide expert commercial advice, and mitigate risks within a secure and fast-paced defence manufacturing environment.
- Lead and mentor a small team of procurement professionals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Procurement Strategies.
- Provide expert Commercial and Contractual advice (including export control, Offset, Industrial Participation, Intellectual Property).
- Advise senior management on high-risk suppliers.
- Ensure compliance and mitigate commercial risks.
Experience in team leadership and management within a procurement function.
A qualification in a business discipline, Procurement or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
Strong problem-solving and risk analysis capabilities in a commercial setting.
