Deliver complex infrastructure projects as an Estimator for this large consultancy. This organisation allows you to tailor the benefits package to suit your needs; benefits include hybrid working options, double-matched pension, medical and dental insurance, and so forth. You will have a chance to work on a variety of projects across infrastructure, transport and energy sectors.
Responsibilities
- Support estimating service delivery, focusing on producing estimates from feasibility through to detailed design across different projects and sectors.
- Produce Class 5 (order of magnitude) to Class 1 (bottom-up, first principles) estimates.
- Work closely with the team, providing support to leadership with winning new work, as well as mentoring more junior colleagues and peer reviewing outputs from team members.
- Use client benchmarking data, in-house data and market data to independently form and assess estimates.
- Use estimating specific software where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction or similar.
- Experience working in estimating in the infrastructure, transport or energy sectors.
- Chartership with or demonstrably working towards RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar.
- Wider understanding of commercial and contractual requirements, including estimating or forecasting costs, indirect costs, cost breakdown structures and analysis of costs.
- Stakeholder engagement skills, including working with designers, engineers, project managers and clients.
- A consultancy mindset, to be adaptable to work across multiple sectors and disciplines.
- Due to the nature of work at our client's site, these vacancies are only open to those who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.
- Visa sponsorship cannot be provided for this position.
