Environmental Test Engineer – Permanent A leading defence and aerospace organisation is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer to join their team. You will support design and in-service surveillance activities across a diverse product portfolio, working within a multi-disciplinary team to solve complex technical problems. This role involves replicating real-life extreme environments to ensure products are robust and safe for service. The Opportunity Conduct environmental tests using a variety of test equipment Simulate extreme environments including temperature, humidity, shock and vibration Translate customer test requirements into a viable test strategy Review documentation and produce data reports Support technical reviews with key partners What We Are Looking For HNC/HND/Degree qualified in a relevant subject or equivalent experience Strong understanding of mechanical structures and analysis Knowledge of environmental test standards including DEF STAN 00-035, MIL STD 810 or similar Experience using measurement equipment such as accelerometers, thermocouples and strain gauges A logical, methodical and conscientious approach What’s on Offer A salary circa £50,000 depending on experience Onsite working five days a week with a dynamic working pattern Flexible working with no core hours allowing you to vary your weekly hours as long as they average out over time Due to the nature of the work, these vacancies are only open to British Citizens or Dual UK nationals with British citizenship, and require successful candidates to undergo a Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
