My client, a world leader in the defence sector, requires an Engineering Skills Capability Lead to join their team in Stevenage or Bristol, helping them to undergo a step change in the ways they work, leading the innovation for technical skills and knowledge initiatives.
Engineering Skills Capability Lead
The Engineering Skills & Capability Lead will besupporting improvement projects in Engineering to allow our client to develop and deliver current and future products.
Working within the Capability & Governance team, you will be delivering the Engineering Skills & Knowledge Strategy by identifying critical technical skills and implementing actions to develop working practices and initiatives within an international environment across their European business perimeter. You will support the delivery and co-ordination of improvement projects to enable continuous improvement.
You will have the opportunity to work with technical experts to support the delivery of strategies and solutions across the Engineering community, working on a wide range of projects, governing the processes to ensure delivery of the long-term engineering vision.
To be considered for this role, applicants will need to have previous experience in a similar Capability Lead role, with a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions while continuously developing technical skills and expertise in a fast-paced engineering environment. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent project management and organisational skills, able to work in an agile technical environment on multiple projects.
You will have experience in collating and analysing data and a history of problem solving, implementing new ways of working and delivering solutions, all the time working closely with stakeholders and engineering partners.
You will be a strong communicator able to collaborate with the wider business, with the ability and confidence to work autonomously across all levels in an organisation and to build relationships internationally and cross-disciplinary.
