Principal Embedded Engineer
Take technical ownership of an embedded engineering capability where you can shape architecture, development standards and long-term engineering practice.

Your role

  • Provide technical leadership across embedded software and firmware development
  • Shape engineering processes, workflows and development standards
  • Develop architectures and guide detailed embedded system design
  • Define verification strategies, validation approaches and test plans
  • Lead the delivery of embedded engineering work packages from initial scope through to release
  • Support integration across software, firmware and hardware engineering disciplines
  • Your experience
  • Strong embedded C and C++ development experience
  • Practical knowledge of modern microcontrollers, System on Chip technologies and Field Programmable Gate Arrays
  • Knowledge of hardware description languages such as VHDL and associated verification tools
  • Experience producing technical specifications, architectures, design documentation and test procedures
  • Understanding of safety-related engineering standards such as Safety Integrity Level or Automotive Safety Integrity Level frameworks
  • Experience mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance and improving engineering capability
