We are recruiting for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our clients IT & Security department. The role is responsible for delivering a resilient cyber security posture, vulnerability management and effective response to security events under the supervision of the Information Security Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring endpoint security posture, analysing the current controls and advising on where improvements or changes could be made.
- Conduct the initial triage of security events and initiate the response and mitigating activities.
- Routinely monitor and assess the network for vulnerabilities and provide appropriate mitigations.
- Conduct patch management of IT assets across the network (Endpoints, Servers and Infrastructure).
- Report on the security posture to both the IT & Security management and the wider Senior Leadership Team.
- Understand IT & Security policies and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work collaboratively with various elements of the department to ensure consistent security management.
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of security best practices, developments and threats.
- Influence the security culture and risk management of the business.
- Support compliance with external certifications.
- Provide support to any IT and Security projects where required.
Experience / skills / qualifications
- Experience working in a corporate IT role.
- Microsoft 365 and iOS management experience.
- Experience in conducting patching and vulnerability assessment.
- Experience in dealing with a broad range of IT systems.
- Experience analysing technical incidents and occurrences.
- Experience utilizing cyber security tooling.
- Understanding of security standards.
- The ability to effectively communicate technical information in plain English for a non-technical audience.
- Organized and diligent in their work.
- Strong written and presentational skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
