You will lead a multidisciplinary team to shape the future of urban air mobility, driving safety critical engineering from initial design through to international certification. Essential requirements:
- Ten or more years of experience in aerospace systems and power development.
- 3+ years of experience in a dedicated engineering leadership or management role.
- Understanding of flight control systems, electric propulsion, and high voltage power integration.
- Comprehensive understanding of aerospace safety analysis and certification processes such as DO-160, ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, etc.
- Valid eligibility to obtain standard security clearance if required.
The work:
- Lead and supervise the development, architecture, and integration of flight control, avionics, and power systems.
- Provide technical guidance on system level design, modeling, simulation, and failure modes analysis.
- Oversee verification and validation activities to ensure full compliance with international aerospace standards.
- Coordinate with global certification authorities and support comprehensive safety assessments including FHA, PSSA, and SSA.
- Interface with international suppliers and cross functional teams to ensure seamless integrated system performance.
Skills and background:
- Proficient with model based systems engineering tools and processes including SysML.
- Practical knowledge of electrical power distribution, battery systems, and propulsion powertrains.
- Familiarity with hardware and software integration within an Agile development environment.
- Proven track record of reviewing design documentation, schematics, and interface control documents.
- Excellent team building, communication, and collaborative leadership skills.
