Where you will work: Bristol-based, hybrid working on offer.
What you will be doing:
- Acting as technical lead for the project with responsibility for defining modelling approaches, technical methods and design rationale.
- Leading electromagnetic modelling of high power RF propagation, coupling paths and system level interactions using established and emerging analytical tools.
- Directing electrical and electronic architecture assessments across power generation, RF transmission chains, control interfaces and system integration boundaries.
- Overseeing RF test strategy including bench testing, subsystem trials and data interpretation to validate design assumptions.
- Working with design specialists to run trade studies covering configuration options, subsystem behaviour, EMC considerations and performance constraints.
- Coordinating multi-domain engineers to produce technical evidence including models, analyses and design justification material that supports programme decisions.
- Contributing to technical planning across work packages including scheduling, resourcing and risk management to ensure coherent delivery.
Your profile:
- Skilled in at least one of the following: high power RF systems, electrical or electronic architecture, electromagnetic modelling, RF testing or design for EMC.
- Degree in physics, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering or similar discipline.
- Confident leading technical teams and collaborating across functions.
