What you will be doing:
- Lead ecological assessment and habitat design work across development and infrastructure related schemes
- Coordinate surveys, reporting and mitigation from early stage through to delivery
- Act as ecology lead on projects, managing scope, quality and programme
- Work closely with planners, engineers and other specialists to embed ecology early
- Support work winning activity and maintain effective client relationships
Skills and background:
- Consultancy experience delivering Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
- Strong report writing and quality assurance capability
- Proven botanical skills, ideally supported by Field Identification Skills Certificate experience or equivalent
- Experience with protected species surveying, mitigation and licensing
- Membership of a recognised professional body in ecology or environmental management
- Full driving licence
Location and setup: Hybrid working with a base in Cardiff, Bristol or Cambridge.
