Electus Healthcare currently has a recruitment opportunity available for a Deputy Home Manager in Larne Care Centre. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is a Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN and has experience in a position as either a Home Manager or Deputy Home Manager in a nursing home. This is a brilliant permanent opportunity offering Monday-Friday, 9-5 hours and paying a competitive salary and company benefits. About The Role

  • The Deputy Home Manager will support the Home Manager by being responsible for key areas of service provision and in their absence to ensure that high standards of care are maintained in line with regulatory requirements and that the service remains viable.
  • To provide leadership and advice to colleagues in addition to undertaking line management responsibilities for the Home Manager in their absence.
  • To co-ordinate and lead on the quality and management of care and treatment of residents living within the home, providing support for residents when required.
  • To participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care as required, managing and directing the delivery of clinical services, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations and current legislation.

Skills Needed

Desired Criteria

  • A leadership or management qualification is desired.
  • They must demonstrate good commercial acumen and how to make the Home a successful business; a good understanding of purchasing, expenditures and budgets is desirable.

Required Criteria

  • To be eligible for the role the candidate must be a nurse currently registered with the NMC.
  • They must be able to evidence CPD and that revalidation requirements have been met.
  • Previous line management experience is essential, and they must be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • They must be able to demonstrate an up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory and procedural requirements in relation to all aspects of management of the home and resident support plans.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong clinical skills and ability to complete audits, identify shortfalls and implement action.
  • They must demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team and drive performance in the absence of a Home Manager.
