Electus Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Cook. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, forward‑thinking Cook to enhance their career leading the catering team. We are looking for an individual that will be passionate about food and understand the importance of using fresh ingredients to provide the highest quality of food and beverages to our residents.
Location: Saintfield Lodge Care Home, 4 Old Saintfield Road, Carryduff
About The Role: As the Cook it will be your responsibility to plan, order supplies, prepare and present high‑quality food and hospitality for our residents while working to the highest of standards and ensuring the dietary requirements of all residents are met.
- Provide appetising and nutritious meals for our residents, in line with the company menu and individual preferences.
- Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Manage food budgets and stocks, place food orders.
- Check deliveries as required and place them in the appropriate storage areas.
- Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen.
- Overall kitchen staff management, training, recruiting and rota.
- Work a mixture of day shifts over a 7‑day rota.
Requirements:
- Level 2 in Food Safety.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role.
Full training and support is provided to ensure that a high standard of catering is maintained at all times.
