This position sits within the Engineering Sales Team. The successful candidate will work with clients and internal technicians to develop sales across Electroserv’s full portfolio. The role is field-based and client facing to cover accounts across process industries including aerospace, food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas within the Northwest region.

A base salary of up to £55k (dependent on experience) with a comprehensive commission structure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out on site sales visits to existing and prospective customers and develop relationships.
  • Work with direct customers to maximise sales and upsell products and services within the region of focus.
  • Identify and develop new sales channel opportunities.
  • Work with existing accounts and develop new accounts and relationships to grow sales.
  • Take a leadership role in major customer agreements and sales opportunities.
  • Track and report project sales opportunities and work with colleagues on project pursuits.
  • Visit and service customers and assist in bidding larger projects.
  • Document day-to-day customer communications on internal CRM systems.
  • Provide sales feedback to Electroserv marketing on competitive information, required products, features, and new market opportunities.
  • Work with Electroserv marketing to regionally promote new and existing products to maximise sales.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • The Sales Engineer must be willing to travel to meet customers face to face and directly sell, promote, and service all products in the Electroserv portfolio within the defined region.
  • An engineering background with exposure to electrical engineering.
  • A good understanding of process instrumentation and calibration of instrumentation to understand how these systems function as part of a production facility.
  • Full driving licence as the role is fully field based.
  • Understand and have experience of selling into process industries, selling control instrumentation and automation products, an appreciation of measurement techniques and communication protocols.
  • Endress + Hauser product knowledge, Eurotherm product knowledge, Automation products, selling Calibration or inspection services.
  • Having experience in selling calibration and inspection services such as DSEAR would be of benefit.
  • NVQ Level 3 (electrical installations) or alternative evidence of skill set qualifications.
