Role Description This is a full-time, Area Sales Manager role covering the South of England. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing sales across an assigned territory, developing relationships with distributors, installers, contractors, and end customers. Daily activities include visiting existing and potential clients, conducting product demonstrations, and presenting the benefits of Electrorad’s heating solutions. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, following up on leads, negotiating pricing within company guidelines, and preparing accurate quotes. The Area Sales Manager will monitor market trends and competitor activity, provide feedback to internal teams, and collaborate with marketing and customer service to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience. Regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts is expected.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in field sales, territory management, or business development, ideally within heating, HVAC, electrical products, or building services.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with the ability to engage distributors, installers, contractors, and specifiers.
  • Confident communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with a focus on solution-based selling.
  • Comfort with planning routes, managing a sales pipeline, and using CRM or sales reporting tools.
  • Basic technical understanding of heating or electrical systems, or the ability and willingness to learn product specifications quickly.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with office-based teams in Leeds.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly within the designated area.
  • Experience in the UK building, construction, home improvement or electrical wholesaling sector is advantageous.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
