We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Field Application & Test Engineer to support customer testing, lab operations, field demonstrations, and day-to-day technical activities. This is a fully on-site role that involves close interaction with customers, test environments, and Radio Frequency equipment.

What you will do:

  • Play a key role in testing and field activities, supporting products from lab through to real-world deployment.
  • Take ownership of lab operations, managing equipment and ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.
  • Work closely with customers, providing technical support and guidance when it matters most.
  • Confidently use a range of lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, RF signal generators and power supplies.
  • Bring strong hands-on skills, from soldering and cable prep to hardware testing and validation.
  • Approach problems with a curious, analytical mindset and a clear focus on delivering for the customer.
  • Produce clear, structured documentation and reports that stand up to scrutiny.
  • Utilise specialist RF test equipment such as attenuators, spectrum analysers and power meters.

What we Require From You:

The ideal candidate has practical electronics and RF experience, strong problem-solving skills, and enjoys working directly with real systems and real customers. We are looking for candidates to have proven experience in the following areas:

  • A background in electronics engineering, RF systems, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience working in structured test or engineering environments (e.g. R&D, lab, manufacturing, or field-based roles).
  • Exposure to RF principles, signal behaviour, and measurement techniques.
  • A track record of diagnosing and resolving technical issues within electronic or RF-based systems.
  • Experience working with technical specifications, schematics, or engineering documentation.
  • An understanding of testing methodologies, validation processes, or product lifecycles.
  • Experience operating in customer-facing or cross-functional engineering environments.
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving, with strong attention to detail.

Although not essential, experience in Aerospace, Telecoms, Defence or RF would be a big plus - especially if you've worked with GNSS, PNT, Electronic Warfare, or anti-jamming systems.
