Career Development: Significant opportunity to grow with the UK business.

Most finance roles involve joining an established department, inheriting existing systems and working within processes that have already been built. This role is different. Our client is a growing international technology and manufacturing business and is looking for its first dedicated UK finance hire.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the UK business, ensuring that financial processes, controls, reporting and cash management operate effectively while acting as the key link between the UK operation and the Group Finance team overseas. You will have the opportunity to help shape how the UK finance function operates as the business continues to grow.

What you will do:

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the UK business.
  • Manage cash flow, banking, payments, working capital and core transactional finance.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end activity and financial reporting.
  • Monitor costs, commitments and variances, providing clear management information to support decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls, approval processes and governance.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Operations and Manufacturing to support financial planning and control.
  • Manage external finance relationships, statutory requirements and the continued development of finance and ERP systems.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience managing financial operations within a commercial organisation, rather than someone whose experience has been focused solely on bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Experience within financial operations, finance management or a similar commercially focused finance role.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, AP, AR, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
  • Experience working with ERP and financial systems.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • The ability to understand the financial impact of operational and commercial decisions.
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of financial processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Experience working across different departments and with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, electronics or another operationally complex environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience supporting a growing business, establishing new finance processes or working as part of an international group would also be particularly relevant.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline would be beneficial, although practical experience is equally important.
  • Professional finance qualifications and business-level Turkish would be advantageous but are not essential.

Why join?

This is an opportunity to become the first dedicated finance professional within the UK business and play a significant role in establishing how the finance function operates. Rather than simply inheriting existing processes, you will help build them. As the UK organisation grows, there will be genuine scope to broaden your responsibilities, develop the finance function and progress with the business.
