The Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to play a key role in maintaining and improving the high standards our customers expect. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, you will ensure products and processes meet quality requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis using recognised quality tools such as 8D methodology.
- Produce quality reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Investigate non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding quality issues and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain and improve the company's ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001 Quality Management System.
- Support inspection activities and resolve production quality concerns.
- Occasional travel may be required to customer and supplier premises.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or similar quality-focused role.
- Ideally you will have an Engineering qualification.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
- A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of IATF16949 or IA/AS9100 standards and practices.
- Experience within manufacturing, electronics or engineering would be highly advantageous.
You must be eligible to work in Northern Ireland and live within commuting distance of Craigavon.
