The Role:
At EA SPORTS FC, we have redefined Experience Design, bringing UX and UI together into one cohesive practice that thrives on collaboration and craft, understanding that neither exists in a vacuum. As a new addition to our growing team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape a bold, immersive player experience within FC — a fresh direction for one of EA’s most beloved franchises. Collaborating closely with your Experience Design Manager and teams across Game Design, Production, User Research, Engineering, and Art, you’ll bring creativity, passion, and expertise in modern UX and UI practices to craft experiences that captivate and inspire millions of players worldwide. This role is a chance to do career-defining work on EA’s most successful franchise – EA SPORTS FC.
Responsibilities:
- Design refined, user-centered experiences that simplify complex game mechanics and systems, enhance player engagement, and meet FC’s high standards for visual excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance user needs, business goals, and project timelines while championing design quality.
- Work comfortably across 2D and 3D gaming contexts, documenting and sharing your thinking with stakeholders at each stage of the design process, from early concept through to implementation.
- Facilitate and participate in collaborative creative brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and moodboard creation.
- Leverage and expand our UI Design System to build cohesive, innovative user experiences, introducing new patterns where valuable.
Requirements:
- Portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions with strong visual direction and interaction design.
- 3+ years of experience driving feature design to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Suite, and other design tools, with strong prototyping capabilities, and a deep understanding of UI Design Systems.
- Proven communication skills with experience presenting and justifying design decisions to diverse audiences, using feedback to refine designs.
- Proven ability to stage features, define MVPs and iterate improvements through collaborative processes.
- Strong visual design skills, including layout, composition, typography, color theory, illustration, and iconography.
- Highly proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, creating interactive prototypes, as well as utilizing and contributing to Design Systems.
- Deeply passionate about making and playing games.
Nice to haves:
- Experience working on AAA game titles.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Motion design abilities (After Effects, Flash).
- Familiarity with 3D tools like Maya are a plus.
