We are looking for a Video Editor & Motion Designer (Freelancer) to join our team and help adapt the content of fern for our new Spanish-language channel.
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming our English originals into Spanish adaptations. Youβll replace and synchronize Spanish voice-overs, translate and adapt on-screen text and 2D animations, and adjust or expand scenes to fit cultural context and make the stories resonate with Spanish-speaking audiences.
You will work closely with translators, voice talent, and directors to ensure that each adaptation preserves the tone, intent, and journalistic integrity of the original videos β while feeling native, authentic, and relevant to Spanish-speaking viewers.
Tasks
- Edit and adapt existing English videos for the Spanish-language channel
- Replace voice-overs with Spanish narration in collaboration with translators and voice talent
- Translate and adjust on-screen text, titles, and 2D motion design elements
- Adapt animations, lower thirds, and graphics to ensure clarity and stylistic consistency in Spanish
- Add or modify scenes to enhance cultural relevance and audience connection
- Ensure storytelling rhythm, tone, and emotional impact align with Spanish-speaking audience expectations
- Deliver high-quality, visually coherent videos that match the brand identity of fern
- Manage feedback loops efficiently and meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing and motion design
- Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Excellent storytelling skills with an eye for pacing, emotion, and visual rhythm
- Ability to translate and integrate 2D motion graphics and titles accurately
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker, with good English skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for journalistic and documentary storytelling
Desirable
- Experience in localization or adapting video content for different languages and audiences
- Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com
