As Head of Mentour, you will have overall responsibility for the content and creative strategy for the Mentour brand and its associated channels, working directly alongside the founding creator and presenters as a strategic partner. This role is not about replacing or overshadowing the creator. It is about enabling them, aligning with their vision, and helping translate that vision into scalable, high quality output across platforms and formats. A strong working relationship with the founding creator and presenters is essential to success in this role. You will own the editorial framework, brand consistency, and business performance of Mentour, while helping lead the evolution of the brand into new formats, platforms, and initiatives across the creator economy. This is a leadership role that sits at the intersection of creator partnership, editorial excellence, brand stewardship, and commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a close creative and strategic partner to the founding creator and presenters, aligning on long term vision, priorities, and brand direction.
- Lead and protect the editorial vision for Mentour across all platforms, ensuring consistently high standards of accuracy, storytelling, and presentation.
- Oversee ideation, development, and production of presenter-led documentary content, providing clear editorial direction and constructive feedback to writers, producers, and editors.
- Expand Mentour’s editorial output beyond long form YouTube content, including short form video, multiplatform publishing, new channel launches, and emerging creator economy opportunities.
- Sign off on major production and publishing decisions, formats, and new initiatives, maintaining brand integrity, audience trust, and creative coherence as the brand scales.
- Alongside cross-functional teams, have responsibility for Mentour’s business goals, including budgets, growth targets, and revenue performance, aligning creative decisions with commercial strategy.
- Collaborate closely with commercial and partnerships teams to support sponsorships, branded content, and new revenue streams, while protecting editorial independence and credibility.
- Use audience data, platform analytics, and industry trends to guide editorial strategy, format innovation, and expansion into new platforms.
- Lead, manage, and develop the Mentour team, including recruitment, performance management, workflow planning, and cross functional collaboration.
- Champion Mentour’s brand identity across all outputs, ensuring consistency, clarity, and long term brand value as the ecosystem grows.
Skills And Experience
- Proven senior editorial or content leadership experience within digital media, YouTube, or documentary production, ideally with presenter led or creator driven formats.
- Background or strong personal interest in aviation, engineering, safety, or technical storytelling, with an appreciation for nuance and accuracy.
- Demonstrable experience working closely with creators or on screen talent, building trusted partnerships and aligning editorial leadership with creator vision.
- Strong editorial judgement, with a track record of overseeing content that balances depth, accuracy, and broad audience appeal.
- Experience leading content expansion across multiple formats or platforms, including short form, new channels, or emerging distribution models.
- Data literate and platform savvy, comfortable using analytics and audience insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with creators, presenters, production teams, and senior stakeholders.
