A Fantastic Opportunity: Talent Acquisition Advisor

As the Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will deliver an end‑to‑end recruitment service across permanent, fixed‑term, temporary, and volume roles, acting as a subject matter expert in all aspects of sourcing and selection. You will lead role briefs, design inclusive attraction strategies, proactively source diverse candidates, and manage the full recruitment journey from role approval and advertising, through to screening, interview support, debrief, offers, and rejections—ensuring a consistently positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will also deliver tailored campaigns, coordinate interviews, and maintain high-quality shortlists while meeting agreed SLAs and standards.

Alongside operational delivery, you will work closely with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to align on priorities, provide market insight, and continuously refine recruitment strategies. You’ll represent SP Electricity North West at events, collaborate with Communications on employer brand content, complete accurate recruitment administration, and contribute to Talent Acquisition projects and process improvements. The role also includes producing recruitment MI, supporting onboarding peaks, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends and legislation, and identifying your own development needs in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager. There is opportunity for agile working following completion of your probationary period.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience within a similar role within an Agency, in-house or RPO setting;
  • Knowledge of the end to end recruitment process;
  • Experience of pro-actively sourcing and head hunting roles;
  • Experience supporting managers through the end to end recruitment process, providing both advice and guidance;
  • A recruitment/HR Qualification (REC CertRP/CertIHR or CIPD) or be willing to work towards;
  • Excellent MS office skills, specifically outlook and excel;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels;
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work accurately maintaining data integrity;
  • The ability to deliver under pressure;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.

As this role requires occasional travel to our offices/depots, assessment centres and careers events throughout the North West, you’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle. The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
