Our role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Coordinator to join our Business Connections Projects team to manage the successful delivery of a portfolio of schemes, generally customer driven high voltage connection and diversion works.
As a Construction Coordinator you will establish the customer’s requirements and manage the delivery of the programme of works from the acceptance stage, through to project closure.
Role
To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Ensure ENWL standards of health and safety are maintained in line with company and HSE regulations
- Manage project’s ensuring works are completed in line with the Customers objectives, identifying areas of performance for improvement and provide recommendations of solutions
- Promote the importance of Customer satisfaction and improved interaction with customers on site;
- Facilitate the formal handover of planned projects from design to delivery teams and to reach agreement on programme and financial constraints with delivery teams and customers
- Review progress in line with the work bank and report on the progress of the programme, identifying efficiency savings for the business
- Manage operational contractor related risks and manage the Delivery Partners works ensuring they are completed in line with Electricity North West’s policies and procedures
- Certify contractor payments on completion of works including approval of variations ensuring projects are managed effectively
- Hold regular progress meetings with stakeholders to provide feedback, address areas of concerns, forecast spend and plan future works
- Support our delivery partners in liaison with local authorities, other public bodies and other statutory utilities as necessary
- Ensure ENWL systems are updated accurately and timely
- Provide support to Design Engineers on construction aspects of work and where necessary, facilitate coordination between design and construction teams
- Attend on site meetings with contractors and customers as appropriate
- Answer technical queries raised by the contractor and provide solutions.
What We’re Looking For
To apply for this Construction Coordinator role, you will hold a minimum of a HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering.
You Will Also Require The Following
- Experience of health and safety compliance
- Excellent customer relationship and engagement skills
- Proven programming and planning skills
- Proven report writing skills and literate with Microsoft office applications including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven influencing skills
- Experience working within a team
- Experience and understanding of LV/HV distribution networks
- Hold ENWL LV Operational Authorisation (desirable).
