We’re looking for a skilled electrician who thrives on keeping systems safe, reliable, and fully compliant — but who’s equally comfortable getting stuck into full property refurbishments. From testing and fault-finding to complete rewires, this role offers real variety and the chance to see jobs through from start to finish.
At ECS, we’re a multi-award-winning compliance and maintenance team working across social housing, public sector sites, and commercial properties. - £38,000 to £40,000 DOE, plus benefits and a company vehicle (your mobile workshop)
- Be part of a team delivering essential works across local communities
- A varied role — not just testing, but upgrades, rewires, and property turnaround works
- Work in void social housing properties, where your impact is immediate and visible
- Use modern tools and systems that make your job smoother and more efficient
- Join a supportive team with real opportunities to grow and develop your skills
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out a range of electrical works within void properties, preparing homes for reoccupation
- Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across residential properties
- Diagnosing and repairing faults (C1s and C2s) — not just identifying issues, but resolving them on-site
- Delivering upgrade works, property adaptations, and full rewires where required
- Completing remedial works, including emergency lighting, circuit repairs, and component replacements
- Issuing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and ensuring full compliance with regulations
- Working as part of a team to meet programme deadlines while maintaining high standards
- Managing your own schedule across sites within a local radius
