About the role:
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and help us continue making a difference. Based in and around Hemel Hempstead, Herts, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our buildings, vehicles, physical assets (including music gear), and supporting the planning and execution of our events.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, your role will be crucial to ensuring our operations run smoothly, effectively, and efficiently as we continue to create positive, inclusive experiences through music. It’s a part-time role, with flexibility around how you allocate your time to meet operational needs. This is a hands-on position, involving physical activity and variety. You’ll likely meet and exceed your daily steps target!
What you’ll do:
- Manage and maintain Electric Umbrella's operational assets, including buildings, vehicles, and music equipment.
- Plan and oversee event and performance execution.
- Ensure all physical assets are in excellent condition and properly maintained.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue prep, transportation, and equipment setup.
- Support the team with daily operational needs.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to improve processes and systems.
What we’re looking for:
- You should be highly organized, proactive, and experienced in operations management, event planning, or related fields.
- The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and passionate about Electric Umbrella’s mission.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, and multitasking capacity are essential.
- Proven experience in operations management or similar roles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience in planning and executing events.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and logistical skills.
- Full driving license and willingness to drive minibuses (over 21, with at least 2 years’ license).
- Passion for inclusive communities and music’s power.
- Knowledge of musical instruments and PA equipment.
