We are currently looking for a delightful UI Designer to join an exciting project.
What Does a UI Artist do at Lively?
- Reports to the Lead Artist.
- Works with the UI/UX Designer to develop the visual style of the user interface, produce target visuals alongside market research around the genre and themes.
- Works with the design team to define the functionality and feature requirements for UI.
- Works with UX to produce and integrate functional user interface with common rules and a clear hierarchy of elements using shapes, colour, fonts, line weight and effects.
- Collaborates with the team from concept to completion, ensuring that the vision is maintained across the whole production process.
- Helps to achieve milestone goals, estimate work, capture stories, sub-tasks and flag production risks.
- Produces well thought-out and clear documentation to share your work and strategy/thinking.
- Works closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth implementation, uphold the design vision and maintain quality throughout.
- In the most wholesome way imaginable, they love what they do, and we can tell.
Requirements
- Prior User Interface design experience on one or more shipped commercial project(s). Preferably a stylised game.
- A keen eye for composition, clarity, and usability.
- Current knowledge of UI prototyping to convey/interpret concepts and ideas.
- Confident with Unity implementation.
- Passionate, curious, motivated, and open to giving and receiving constructive criticism.
- Has a fascinatingly broad palette of references and inspirations to draw from and educate us with.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Awareness of user interface patterns and design standards, ability to design for a casual and family audience.
