The worlds we create are key to our games and making an amazing experience for our players. The Concept Artist will be an essential part of the Art team, having a huge impact on the game we create. We have a particularly exciting project involving action-packed race tracks and race drivers, which we are seeking a talented individual to help visualise.

Duties

  • Reporting to the Lead Artist and liaising with the game team.
  • Create a variety of concept art aimed at AAA stylised world art assets, including props, scenery, and vehicles.
  • Ability to show clear and elaborate breakdowns for a 3D artist to follow and understand.
  • Quickly create and iterate ideas through collaboration with the Art Lead and Art Director to help problem-solve and meet the artistic style required.
  • Work closely with the Design and Art teams to help break down technical challenges through your concept and production art.

Requirements

  • Ideally a First in Fine Art, Digital Media Design, or a relevant degree.
  • Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of ability and fundamental drawing and design skills; perspective, light & colour, composition, form language, etc.
  • Solid understanding of industry standard 2D/3D art packages, for example: Photoshop, Maya/Max, Z-Brush.
  • A good sense of composition and eye for detail, colour, and lighting.
  • Be comfortable presenting ideas to members of the team.
  • Demonstrable time management, organisational, and communication skills are a must.
  • Enthusiastic team player, positive and outgoing personality.
  • A passion for pushing visual quality and production techniques, video games, art, and a commitment to personal development.
  • A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
