We are seeking an ambitious Level Designer, in particular a level designer who has experience building fun race-track ribbons, who is looking to provide innovative ideas and immersive experiences for our dedicated players. A Level Designer at Lively should have a creative imagination and a passion to design a ground-breaking experience for our new and exciting project.

Qualifications

This role requires games industry experience. We are only able to consider candidates who are based within the EU time zone.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and builds fun track ribbons of varying complexity and difficulty.
  • Is responsible for finding the fun, injecting personality into our game through its tracks.
  • Prototypes innovative levels and gameplay concepts via 3D modelling, and other tricks of the trade.
  • Employs various modelling techniques to block out environments with track progression and the overall game experience in mind.
  • Works in close collaboration with the environment artists and game designers, while extending collaboration and bringing solutions to the team across all disciplines.
  • Assists in the continued improvement of production pipelines and workflows within the studio.
  • Conducts regular playtesting sessions to gather user feedback and subsequent action points.
  • Iterates on the gameplay experience to fine-tune it for maximum quality and optimum performance to ultimately ship an incredible product.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of trending track design techniques and the capabilities/limitations of these techniques as they relate to project objectives.
  • Willingly and regularly shares expertise with peers and expects the same in return.
