You will be part of a small but highly skilled team responsible for defining and implementing the operating model for supporting the Data Transfer Service (DTS) as the current contract ends in Q1 2029.
Responsibilities
- Using your expertise and knowledge to assist the Head of DTS strategy and the COO in the selection of the optimal operating model for supporting the DTS in the long term.
- Be a key member of the small Programme Team that identifies and selects any appropriate external partners that will support delivery of the chosen operating model.
- Carefully review the requirements of both the current and future operating model of the DTS, the long‑term needs of the energy industry and the needs of ElectraLink’s commercial business (where it relates to the DTS).
- Investigate and assess the different potential operating models for the future, covering risk, cost and timescale dimensions.
- Provide advice, guidance and ultimately a recommendation of the optimum model to the Head of DTS strategy and the COO.
- Support end‑to‑end sourcing processes (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and commercial negotiations for the new technology platform, focusing on technical delivery, total cost of ownership, quality, and risk management.
- Ensure clarity across the Programme and relevant teams on technical KPIs, SLAs, uptime, roadmap dependencies, and value realisation commitments.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across ElectraLink, by collaborating with Technology, Finance, Legal, Data Protection, and Information Security to define requirements, support adoption and articulate value.
- Work closely with the Head of DTS Strategy to shape the plan that delivers the migration to the new operating model, ensuring that the new model can be successfully operated by the Head of CRS after it has been implemented.
- Continuously engage with both internal and external stakeholders (including any potential third‑party partners) to ensure that ElectraLink’s requirements are fully understood and properly described and that all options for future operating model are surfaced for consideration.
- Work with the Head of DTS Strategy, the COO and the ElectraLink finance team to build the financial model for the future operating model, including different funding options that the potential third‑party partners may propose.
- Understand and advise on the risk profile of different models and the risk dimensions to consider when looking at third‑party submissions.
Qualifications
- The candidate should be an experienced senior manager/consultant, with a track record in operational delivery.
- A strong background in technology delivery with 5+ years of experience managing third parties to deliver systems support, both day‑to‑day operations and technology change (small changes and larger projects).
