We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Account Manager to join our Marketing and Sales team.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to the development of core account management procedures for the department.
  • Support the creation and implementation of a structured internal customer handover process that highlights key milestones in the sales journey.
  • Assist in establishing systems to proactively monitor and maintain customer account health.
  • Help create processes that promote client retention and enable seamless contract renewals.
  • Conduct regular reviews with customers to ensure high levels of customer service where all needs are met, and expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client challenges and feedback.
  • Ensure that all customers are provided with accurate proposals, collateral and other information as required.
  • Field sales enquiries and provide timely customer support.
  • Develop excellent relationships with allocated customer contacts working closely with the wider Marketing and Sales department to maximise the customer's experience.
  • Continually develop your product and technical knowledge to better understand your customer base.
  • Actively contribute and act as a role model to the ElectraLink values and behaviours.
  • Ensure that CRM is up to date for all communications in relation to your account base and all business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the energy and new markets as the customer base develops.
  • Provide clients with relevant insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to educate clients on product features and best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall sales target by effectively managing contract renewals and cross‑selling relevant services to existing customers.
  • Actively find new ways to win business from existing accounts using our consultative sales process.
  • Ensure you have an up‑to‑date Quarterly Accounts Sales Plan, which is clearly communicated, manageable, and measurable.
  • Prepare detailed reports on account performance, tracking key metrics and providing updates to management.
  • Analyse client data to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3‑5 years’ experience working within the energy and utilities sector.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in account management or new business development with a strong track record of performance.
  • Proven ability to upsell and grow existing accounts.
  • Strong understanding of customers and their needs.
  • The ability to adapt to change as we constantly improve our business.
  • Ability to understand complex solutions and explain them to others in clear and simple terms.

Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of consultative selling, ideally within data, software, analytics or consultancy solutions.
  • Possesses sound commercial and financial judgement.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and customer support tools.
