The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is a key role within ElectraLink's Cost Recovery Services (CRS) delivery team, working across several development projects to ensure that solutions are defined and developed based on architecture standards and technologies. The role requires the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and implementation of technology solutions. You will have an agile mindset willing to push the boundaries of current conventional thinking for architecture design, you will have experience of developing proof of concepts and mindful of market drivers, first mover advantage and not be constrained against existing systems, infrastructure or ways of working.
More traditionally, you will also translate the ElectraLink business strategy into concrete solutions and design and execute a set of solution blueprints that support a long term operating model and strategy. You will evaluate all technology options assess impact on the wider business or customer processes working with both business and IT stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who can work with our senior management and business development leads to conceive and deliver forward looking solutions, proof of concepts, minimal viable product and not be afraid to move quickly and have the courage to fail fast.
Key Responsibilities include supporting the CRS team build their future target operating model:
- Solution Design & Analysis: Translates business needs into technical strategies and designs that can be implemented by third parties in design, development and delivery.
- Technical Evaluation: Assesses potential CRS solutions with vendors, comparing off-the-shelf products with new systems to determine suitability for project requirements.
- Cost & Technical Alignment: Works with financial and technical teams to develop technical solutions and their associated cost estimates, ensuring alignment with business and technical standards.
- Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates technical risks related to new technologies or vendor solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manages relationships and coordinates with internal technology teams, sales, product management, and external vendors to ensure technical feasibility and success.
- Communication: Presents and discusses technical solutions with both internal and client executives, ensuring all parties understand the technical implications and benefits of the proposed procurement.
- Technical Governance: Provides technical oversight and governance for IT projects, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and standards.
- Strategic Input: Contributes to the overall technology strategy by identifying new technologies, capabilities, and opportunities for digital transformation within the product lifecycle.
You will need Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding: Ability to design integrated, scalable, and secure IT solutions for procurement and supply chain operations, often involving cloud and legacy systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders and managing their expectations ensures projects align with organizational goals and that potential challenges are understood and addressed early.
- Analytical Skills: Translating complex business needs into detailed technical requirements and digital solutions.
- Teamwork: Ability to effectively engage with and manage expectations of diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, product owners, vendors, and senior management.
- Commercial acumen: Experience in developing business cases, pricing strategies, and value propositions.
