As part of the operations function of Electra Link and reporting to the Head of Business Improvement, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful end to end delivery of Electra Link projects.
The Project Manager will have an excellent knowledge of project management methodologies e. g.
SCRUM & DSDM, appropriate for technology and business-based projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for all elements of managing & delivering successful project deliveries including financial, risk and stakeholder management.
The Project Manager will operate within a defined project framework and be responsible for all reporting expectations of the Head of Business Improvement.
The Project Manager will build & maintain effective working relationships within the Electra Link business and with external parties as required, ensuring collaborative working across teams/areas.
They must also possess fantastic people skills.
As a small organisation, there is the expectation that you will be fully involved in project delivery, and a can-do attitude is needed to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Manage and successfully deliver projects and programmes on time, to budget, within the defined project delivery framework.
- Identify and manage appropriate resources to undertake all required project activities.
- Manage all project costs in full, including resource and direct costs to the project, collaborating with the finance department.
- Ensure effective communication with staff and stakeholders (including third parties and suppliers) ensuring project requirements are delivered on time to cost, while supporting wider Electra Link supplier relationships.
- Build strong productive working relationships and provide effective communication at all levels.
- Promote & champion the benefits of project management within Electra Link.
- Provide full financial and delivery reports to the Head of Business Improvement and finance business partners.
- You will need
- An understanding of the energy sector/experience working with DNOs
- Experience in data and software projects
- Demonstrable project management skills & strong experience working within a project management framework
- Highly organised with the ability to manage, prioritise and complete multiple tasks
- A track record of ensuring projects are delivered to a deadline and to a budget
- An understanding of project finances, with the ability to maintain the necessary relationships with the Finance Team
- Outstanding collaboration skills and be a strong team player
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Track record of various programme and project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, DSDM etc.
- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment is essential.
