The Role
We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead and execute our marketing strategy.
This role is responsible for increasing brand awareness, generating qualified sales leads, supporting product launches, and strengthening Electra’s position as a market leader in electric commercial vehicles.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, working closely with the sales, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s annual marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Create marketing plans to support lead generation, customer acquisition, and brand development.
- Identify new market opportunities and recommend initiatives to increase market share.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends within the commercial vehicle and electric mobility sectors.
- Brand Management
- Maintain and strengthen the Electra brand across all marketing channels.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and communications.
- Manage brand guidelines and corporate communications.
- Digital Marketing
- Manage the company website and optimise content for SEO and user engagement.
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns.
- Oversee social media strategy across Linked In, You Tube, and other relevant platforms.
- Manage digital advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and Linked In advertising.
- Analyse website performance using analytics tools and implement improvements.
- Content & Communications
- Produce high‑quality marketing collateral including brochures, case studies, presentations, videos, and technical content.
- Develop customer success stories and thought leadership content.
- Write press releases and liaise with trade publications and industry media.
- Support internal communications and employer branding initiatives.
- Events & Exhibitions
- Plan and manage participation in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and customer events.
- Coordinate product demonstrations and launch events.
- Manage relationships with exhibition organisers and suppliers.
- Work closely with the sales team to generate qualified leads.
- Develop sales tools, presentations, proposal templates, and customer‑facing materials.
- Support bid submissions and tender documentation where required.
- Track marketing‑generated leads and campaign effectiveness.
- Budget & Performance
- Manage the marketing budget effectively.
- Monitor campaign performance using agreed KPIs.
- Produce monthly reports covering lead generation, digital performance, ROI, and marketing activity.
- Recommend improvements based on data and analytics.
- Manage relationships with creative agencies, PR partners, photographers, videographers, printers, and digital marketing suppliers.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and ensure value for money.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, commercial vehicles, or B2B technology.
- Strong digital marketing knowledge including SEO, email marketing, CRM systems, social media, and paid advertising.
- Experience managing websites using content management systems.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
- Strong project management and organisational abilities.
- Experience managing marketing budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing software.
- Experience within the electric vehicle or commercial vehicle sector.
- Experience using CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms.
- Basic graphic design or video editing capability.
- Experience with Google Analytics and reporting dashboards.
