Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Venue Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Venue Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and generating new business by promoting our venue for corporate events, conferences, and private functions. You will work closely with event planners, corporate clients, and private individuals to match their needs with our venue’s offerings. The role requires a strategic approach to sales, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage the entire sales process from initial inquiry to closing the deal.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities. Generate leads through outbound outreach (calls, emails, networking), and inbound channels (referrals, website inquiries, etc.).
- Venue Presentations & Tours: Conduct site visits and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients. Showcase the venue’s features, amenities, and unique offerings, tailoring each presentation to the client’s specific needs.
- Sales Negotiations: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and packages with clients. Work to close deals and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (corporate clients, event planners, agencies, and wedding couples). Ensure repeat business by delivering excellent customer service and consistently exceeding expectations.
Client Management
- Understand Client Needs: Consult with clients to assess their event requirements and provide tailored solutions based on available space, services, and budget.
- Event Coordination Support: Collaborate with the venue’s event coordination team to ensure all details for booked events are communicated and executed flawlessly. This includes ensuring that event specifications, technical requirements, catering, and other logistics are accounted for.
- Client Engagement: Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback. Use feedback to continuously improve the sales process and service offerings.
Target Setting & Reporting
- Sales Targets: Set and achieve individual and team sales targets, ensuring you contribute to the venue’s overall revenue growth.
- Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, leads, and client communications in the venue\'s CRM system. Provide regular updates on sales progress, conversion rates, and opportunities for growth.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and local market conditions to identify new opportunities for business development.
Marketing Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing Team: Work with the marketing department to create promotional materials, digital campaigns, and event packages that appeal to targeted market segments (e.g., corporate clients, wedding couples).
- Event Promotions: Help plan and promote open-house events, showcase days, or networking events to attract potential clients and showcase the venue.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven track record in venue sales, event management, or hospitality sales (minimum of 2-3 years).
- Experience in generating leads, handling client negotiations, and closing deals for large-scale events, corporate functions, or private events.
- Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and event management software is a plus.
