We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Gloucester. This is a full‑time, on‑site role offering excellent hands‑on experience across a wide range of electrical projects. We are ideally looking for an apprentice who is currently enrolled in college and working towards their electrical qualification, and who already has some practical experience within the industry. This role would suit someone eager to further develop their skills while gaining valuable on‑the‑job training alongside experienced electricians.
The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components under supervision. In addition to electrical work, there will be opportunities to broaden your skill set by learning additional trades, including plumbing and other related disciplines, providing well‑rounded practical experience. Please note that some projects may require working away from home. Flexibility and willingness to travel when required is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Support fault‑finding and troubleshooting of electrical issues
- Work safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
- Follow technical drawings and instructions accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
- Support other trades when required and take part in cross‑trade learning opportunities
- Work effectively as part of a team on various residential and/or commercial projects
- Currently enrolled in a recognised electrical college course (preferred)
- Some prior hands‑on experience in electrical work
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and principles
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn additional trades, including plumbing
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Any additional certifications (e.g., ECS card, health & safety training, first aid, etc.) would be advantageous
Salary to be negotiated depending on experience.
