We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspections on materials and components using a variety of NDT methods specifically Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection to ensure product integrity and compliance with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive testing inspections on a range of materials and components.
- Select and apply appropriate NDT techniques based on inspection requirements.
- Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Conduct tests in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols.
- Interpret test results to identify defects, irregularities, or anomalies.
- Document findings and non-conformances, and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, including job cards and OV sheets.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to assess and resolve issues.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Stay up to date with advancements in NDT techniques through ongoing training.
- Contribute to maintaining the integrity and safety of materials and products.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Level 2 NDT Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Certification.
- Proficiency in specific NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle).
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to interpret NDT test results and identify defects.
- Practical experience in conducting NDT inspections.
- Hands-on experience with NDT equipment and tools.
- Understanding of various materials and components used in the industry.
- Experience in preparing NDT reports and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt to business needs.
