We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic individual to join our legal team in Freshwater. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing excellent administrative support, uses their initiative, and enjoys a varied workload in a busy, professional environment. While the primary focus is on back-office legal administration, there will be an element of client contact and some reception cover will be required from time to time.
The Role
- Delivering high level administrative support, including precise digital dictation and preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
- Scanning, filing, and archiving of sensitive paper and digital records.
- Managing outgoing post and co-ordinating client meetings.
- General office duties to maintain an efficient working environment for the legal team.
- Providing professional support to the reception desk at peak times or during staff absences—handling a busy switchboard, managing meeting room diaries, and welcoming clients with a polished and polite manner.
Requirements
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and speed.
- A clear, professional telephone manner and the ability to relay messages accurately across the team.
- A strict commitment to client confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information.
- A professional demeanour, welcoming attitude and smart appearance, ensuring a positive impression for our clients both in person and over the phone.
Experience and Training
Experience within a law firm, particularly in Private Client, or other professional services environment is advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
