What you will do:

As a Business Development Representative you will work in the sales team to build and nurture a pipeline of potential customers. You will develop a keen understanding of the client’s SaaS solution to be able to understand the client’s challenges and problem‑solve how our tool could help their businesses.

Day‑to‑day Responsibilities:
- Source leads through outbound calling, email outreach, and social media outreach.
- Handle inbound leads from Marketing or the Lead Generators team.
- Nurture, further qualify, and ultimately convert these leads into product demonstration meetings for Business Development Managers.
- Serve as a key contact point for potential customers to discuss their technical requirements, budgets, timelines, and scope for implementation.
- Occasionally attend demonstrations and trade shows around the UK with BDMs.
- Collaborate with marketing to think creatively about new avenues for attracting prospects.
- Create Requests for Information and complete tenders to win new business opportunities.
The Team You’ll Be Joining:
You will be working alongside other BDRs (in both locations), reporting to the Internal Sales Manager of the UK. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Generation team, Marketing & Events. The UK sales function is split into cross‑functional Business Units that each focus on particular market segments. Upon joining you’ll be assigned a Business Unit dedicated to generating opportunities in specific industries alongside a Business Development Manager, Service Management Consultant, and Customer Success Manager. The client has branches worldwide, so you’ll be part of an international organisation too! While you’ll focus on the UK markets, there may also be opportunities to collaborate with international colleagues.
Qualifications:
- A graduate with a 1st or 2:1 university degree preferred – all disciplines welcome.
- Minimum 9–12 months outbound sales experience (SaaS background preferred).
- An interest in technology and software.
- Exceptional communication skills.
