We are looking for self-employed Live In Carers to join our platform and provide one-to-one support to older people at home. Providing personalised care, you will work directly with the customer to create a schedule everyone is happy with. Your assistance will help them to stay in control and independent for as long as possible and you will have plenty of time to provide meaningful support and form real connections.
(Carers must be available to live with clients both day and night for a minimum of 7 consecutive days to be eligible for this role)
Daily responsibilities will vary depending on your care recipient, but may include:
- Personal care
- Medication reminders
- Welfare checks
- Food shopping
- Meal preparation
- Mobility support
- Companionship
- Light gardening
- Light housework
- Pet care (optional)
Benefits:
- Up to £865 per week, base rate PLUS additional bonuses depending on your placement.

Requirements:
- Be able to work independently without manager supervision in the care recipient's home
- Ability to commit to placements for a minimum of 7 nights in the Care Recipient's home
- Have at least 6 months professional care experience
- The ability to pass a background check (enhanced DBS in England and Wales, or a PVG in Scotland)
- The ability to provide 2 professional references that Elder can verify
- A good level of spoken English
- Right to work as self-employed in the UK (unfortunately, no Student/Skilled worker visas)
